”The Coalition is working together, to communicate with the people of Dorset the urgency of action on Climate Change, in order to enable and inspire them to take action, both individually and collectively, to address this.” Climate Change is happening here in Dorset, and it will have a major impact on people and wildlife. We can still make a difference, but we need to do it take action now.
Dorset Climate Change Coalition is a group of public and community sector partners in Dorset who are working together to raise awareness and support people to take action on climate change.

674 people in Dorset have already measured their carbon footprint and pledged to reduce it. If you have already done this well done, if not you can use the online Act on CO2 calculator, or download our carbon questionnaire. Let us know your results and we will enter you into a prize draw to win a hamper.
With an average carbon footprint in Dorset of 7.4 tonnes of CO2, if those 674 people all save 5% this amounts to a saving of 250 tonnes of CO2 equivalent to 42 households emissions from heating and hot water.
Imagine if all these people encouraged 10 friends to cut their carbon footprint, and then they encouraged 10 more, we would be making a serious difference.
Now you have measured your footprint, think about how you can reduce it, if you used the Act on CO2 calculator the action plan gives some tips or take a look at our leaflet and action sheet.

This presentation explains the likely impacts of climate change in Dorset and aims to inspire people to take acction. 496 people in Dorset have heard this presetation, to book a talk or to attend a free training course to learn how to deliver the talk, contact emily@dorsetclimate.org.uk or 01202 307413
