Dorset Energy Advice Centre provide an EPC service to landlords and letting agents in Dorset. We use locally based Domestic Energy Assessors who are experts in energy efficiency, or the building or property industry. We also supply free low energy light bulbs and hot water tank jackets, as well as giving advice on the grants available to landlords to improve the insulation and heating in their properties, and have schemes landlords can take advantage of before their rating is compiled.
DEAC has recently worked with Harriet Stewart-Jones from Transition BH Hub to provide climate change adaptation workshops for Bournemouth Borough Council and Borough of Poole Council.
DEAC are able to provide energy audits for businesses and community buildings. Please contact us for further information.
NI 187 is the new indicator for fuel poverty. Local authorities reporting on this indicator are required to survey at least 400 households in receipt of income related benefits. DEAC recently successfully carried out this service for ten local authorities in the South West. Please talk to us if you require assistance with your NI 187 survey. This year we are providing the service for the eight Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole authorities as well as Plymouth City Council.
