Dorset Climate Change Coalition is looking for 1000 people to measure and reduce their carbon footprints.  Nearly 700 have already done it so join in now!  Use the from below to tell us your footprint, and you could win a hamper of local food.  Draw will take place on 15th February 2009.  

Thanks for coming to this page, we would like to hear what you are already doing to tackle climate change, and what more you are intending to do. We would like to stay in touch and support you, but we will not contact you without your permission.

There are lots of things you can do to cut your carbon footprint, there are a few ideas below. We would love to know what you are doing.
Why not wrap your home up warm? Insulating your home can save 1 tonne of carbon dioxide per year.
Why not walk or cycle? Leaving your car at home one day a week can save 0.35 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year.
Why not eat local seasonal food? Local food travels less.
Why not compost? Composting, stops green waste rotting in landfill and saves an equivalent of 280kg of carbon dioxide per year.
Why not garden for wildlife? Gardening with wildlife in mind, helps species adapt to climate change, reduces use of nitrate fertilizers, and gives you somewhere to put that lovely compost!
