Bournemouth and Poole Big Green Fortnight 2011

Friday 20th May through to Sunday 5th June 2011

Building on the success of the last event in 2009, we are pleased to be asked to manage the Bournemouth & Poole Big Green Fortnight in 2011.

The overall aim of the the Big Green Fortnight is to raise awareness and encourage businesses, community groups and individuals to adopt more sustainable ways of living.

Big Green Fortnight 2009

Between 15th to 31st May 2009 Bournemouth 2026 and Poole Partnership hosted 65 diverse events, making contact with 7469 people to raise awareness of environmental issues.

These included, the Big Green Bus Tour with celebrity Brigit Strawbridge, films at Lighthouse Centre for the Arts, gigs and family events such as walks and cycle rides.
