Bournemouth and Poole Big Green Fortnight 2009

Harriet Stewart-Jones, from Transition BH awarded Runner Up in Bournemouth Unsung Heroes award, for her part in making the Big Green Fortnight happen.  Harriet worked closely with Emily Bullock of DEAC to co-ordinate and manage the fortnight.

Between 15th  to 31st May 2009 Bournemouth 2026 and Poole Partnership hosted 65 diverse events, making contact with 7469 people to raise awareness of environmental issues. 

These included, the Big Green Bus Tour with celebrity Brigit Strawbridge, films at Lighthouse Centre for the Arts, gigs and family events such as walks and cycle rides.
