The Warm Front grant is the Government scheme for insulation and heating and is run by EAGA (Energy Action Grants Agency). The scheme is funded by DECC and provides insulation and heating measures to people on various benefits and allowances up to the value of £3500 (£6000 if oil fired heating is required).
Warm Front covers the following measures:
- Cavity wall insulation
- Loft insulation
- Draught proofing
- Low energy light bulbs
- Hot water tank jackets
- Gas/Oil Central heating/Electric heating where no heating exists
- Repair/replace existing heating if non-operational, condemned or working intermittently
- Conversion of solid fuel open fire to a glass fronted fire
DEAC has a direct web portal so that we can refer people straight through to Warmfront.
We also work with a local surveyor to speed up the survey waiting times!
If the cost of the work exceeds the grant then you may be able to have the excess paid by the local authority, please contact the local authority direct to see if they have funds available or ask us and we will advise you accordingly.
The Warm Front £300 rebate scheme is for owner occupiers and private tenants who are over 60, and have no heating or a broken down/condemned boiler. People do not need to be on benefits to claim, work needs to be carried out by installers registered with the scheme – there is a £50 administration fee for the rebate which effectively reduces it to £250, please call us and ask for more information.
This scheme is for anybody regardless of age or benefits and aims to offer boilers at discounted rates, and includes a £20 client cash back. Typically between £100 and £200 can be saved on the cost of a new boiler. The boiler needs to be sourced at Plumbing Trade Supplies (PTS)
Please call DEAC on (0800) 975 0166 so application forms can be sent out.
You can also find out about other boiler discount schemes using any internet search engine.
