Dorset Energy Group

Dorset Energy Group (DEG) is the body that co-ordinates and monitors the delivery of the key actions laid out in the Renewable Energy Strategy and Action Plan and Energy Efficiency Strategy and Action Plan for Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole.  It is chaired by Kate Hall, Sustainable Development Manager at Dorset County Council.   Dorset Energy Advice Centre sit on the Executive Group and also chair the Community Sustainable Energy Working Group and are represented on the Domestic Sector group and the Bio energy group.

Dorset Climate Change Coalition

Dorset Climate Change Coalition Logo

Dorset Climate Change Coalition is a partnership of public and voluntary sector organisations working on climate change in Dorset.  DA21 are the secretariat.  Between March 08 and Feb 09 DEAC managed a project on behalf of the Coalition called "Spreading the Message and Action in Dorset" with funding from Dorset Strategic Partnership.

Bournemouth Affordable Warmth Partnership

The Affordable Warmth Partnership comprises Bournemouth Borough Council Age Concern, the Fire Service, Citizens Advice Bureau, Primary Care Trust and the Pensions Service. The Partnership supports the aims of the Bournemouth Warm and Healthy Homes Affordable Warmth Strategy to Achieve:

  • An end to fuel poverty for vulnerable householders by 2010
  • An end to fuel poverty for all by 2016

Green Energy Centre

Warmerhome (Southern) Ltd - have two Green Energy Centres. in Ferndown and Christchurch to enable people to see energy efficiency and renewable energy products in situ.  DEAC are working closely with the Green Energy Centres, by for example managing their advice lines.
