Free Insulation for 60-69 year olds living in Council Tax bands A - D 

Bournemouth, Poole and Purbeck

Bournemouth Borough Council, Borough of Poole and Purbeck District Council have now confirmed that they will fund loft and cavity wall insulation for households, where at least one person is over 60, and the property is in council tax bands A B C or D.  The other Dorset Councils are likely to come on board soon, so watch this space!  If you are over 70 or on benefits you may get it for free under another grant. The Bournemouth Landlord Insulation Project has been recognized as a UK leader in helping households to save energy and keep warm, and has been awarded a UK Carbon Action Network Award.  This project has insulated over 7000 dwellings free of charge to landlords and tenants, helping to alleviate fuel poverty and reduce Bournemouth's carbon emissions.
